An Interview with Clyde Morgan (WW2 Veteran).
Clyde Morgan, born in 1923, served in the Air Force during World War Two. He attended a semester at ACU then was called into the Navy. Morgan lived through the Great Depression. He described it as a very different lifestyle than how we live now. Morgan went to a one roomed school from grades one through seven. In that school Morgan was involved in a patriotic program all years he was there. Even when he was young he took pride in his patriotism. Morgan served in Cairo, Egypt. He was able to send home one-hundred dollars a month for his family. Clyde Morgan lost his best friend in the war when he flew over Germany. His friend knew that he would die but he did it because he would never surrender.
